Sabine watching the snow fall

Hi dear fellow crafters. Hope you're doing fine. I'm a bit better in the meanwhile, after six days knocked off!!! I managed to make a card again today... yay! The one I made I will show you on Sunday. Thank you so much for your get well wishes! I cannot remember when I was of so low energy because of a flu like this time... not nice, really not nice. But bit by bit I belong to the living ones again...

But today I want to show you a wintery card I made some days ago, with this cutie stamp from Stampavie by Sarah Kay 'Sabine watching the snow fall'. Isn't she so sweet standing behind a window watching outside.

I coloured her with Copics and framed it with Nellie's Choice Frame die multi rectangle. I added a sentiment by Whimsy Stamps from the Winter Seals collection. The papers I used for the background are Basic Grey Out of Print 6x6. The border behind the image is die cutted with Magnolia Tilda Lace Die. As an extra accent I added some flowers, put a beautiful paper doily behind the image and added some flat backed pearls.

Red Riding Hood

Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine... better than me, as I am fighting with a bad flu since four days which doesn't allows me to do anything, not a tiny little colouring or glueing some papers togehter... nothing... I cannot remember feeling that aweful lately, just lying around, watching some TV and sleeping. Well, luckily I worked ahead with my cards and can show you a new one today nevertheless. At least I manage to post it, when I cannot do anything else.

Well, the card I show you today I made with this gorgeous new image from Crafts and Me by the fabulous artist Zindy Nielsen called 'Red Riding Hood'. Well... mine is more Blue Riding Hood :o). I think this background paper by Prima is just perfect for her. The colouring is made with Distress Inks.

Here is a close up of the image, I coloured it with Copics. The papers I used are from my stash. I had it already quite some time unused. I thought it is the perfect one to this image.

I coloured her with Copics. And I added some Sparkle to her wings and hair.

I sew some wide lace to the background which I did the first time, and quite like how it turned out. It is some worldwide famous Swiss St. Galler lace.

Introducing Bella

Look this cute little bear holding a heart shaped balloon in his hands... isn't this the perfect Valentines image? Not only, it is very useful for other occasions as well like birthdays, weddings and more.

I coloured Bella with Copics. The background papers are from Authentique. The heart border die is from Magnolia and for the corners I used a die from Sizzix.

This sweetie is called Bella and is from the fabulous artist Conie Fong, available at Sweet Pea Stamps on plate # 198 together with three other cute images. But you can have Bella as single stamp as well. Conie Fong's new sheet is on pre-order now to a nice price!

Hi everyone, today I want to show you a Valentines card I made with a non love related stamp. I used a Magnolia stamp from the Winner takes it all collection called Winner Tilda. And I think she fits perfect to say someone I love 'you're my no. 1'. This stamp is even on Sale right now with 25 % off! And many other ones of this collection as well. I coloured in black and white tones this time with Distress Inks. The papers I used are from the gorgeous Lost and Found collection from My Minds Eye called Madison Avenue. I love those papers, they belong to my favourites.

I made the card with the sketch of TOMIC

I hide a little tag behind the image. I cut it with the Magnolia Doohickey die Scalloped Tag with a self stamped sentiment.

This can be just one or several of them. This is up to you. But easy peasy right? After some springlike cards I show you a wintery one this time. I used this gorgeous image called First Snow by the amazing new artist Zindy Nielsen from Crafts and Me. I LOVE this image. Such a beautiful face. And so much fun to work with, like the other new images as well.

I coloured the image with Distress Inks and added some sparkling glass splinters as accent.

Hi everyone, after a longer lasting challenge last time we have a new theme for you today over at Whiff of Joy Challenges. We start the new year with following we would love to see on your creations

CHARMS AND BLING

For my card I used one of my fave stamps of Whiff of Joy, this cute littel icebear. The coloration is made with Distress inks. I wanted to try out a little different colour combination this time; ice blue together with red. And I quite like how it turned out. The sentiment I used in German is from Whiff of Joy as well.

Here you can see a close up of the image. I surrounded the edges of the images with little stamped snowflakes.

Here you can see this little cute snowman charm I used on my card. Isn't he too sweet? I thought it would fit well to this card.

Furry Little Angel

Hi dear Sweet Pea Stamps lovers. How are you doing. Hope fine and you had a wonderful festive season, just as I had... but way too much eaten... :o).

Not many of you may know that I am a big cat lover. I have three little furry friends by myself. So these days I made a card with this super cute angel cat image by Karen Middleton. Isn't this little furry angel too sweet? I fell so much in love with it. It is availabel on Plate # 135 together with another adorable image. The sentiment I used is from Sweet Pea as well. I think this way it would fit perfect for a Valentines card as well.

I coloured the image with Distress Inks and added some Stickles Frosted Lace on the cats wings. The papers I used are by Basic Grey.

Walk like an Egyptian

Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Mine was fine, but way too much eaten... hehe :o)

Today I want to show you a card I made with this funny stamp by Kraftin'Kimmie called 'Cleo' and it comes with the sentiment I used on my card. I coloured the image with Distress Inks and the edges are distressed with it as well.

As background papers I used Kaisercrafts Hunts & Gather 6x6. I love those brown, yellow and green tones for this image. The gorgeous frame I made around the image is made by Spellbinders Nestabilities Fleur de Lis. The label I stamped the sentiment on is from this set as well. The flowers I added as an accent are by Marianne D Beautiful Brown. Another great accent are the lovely half backed pearls.

Moonlight Companions

Hi everyone and dear Sweet Pea Stamps lovers. After making quite some Christmas card I want to show you today the first different one I just made.

For my card I used one of the fabulous images by the great artist Rebecca Sinz. It is called 'Moonlit Companions'. It is available as a single stamp and on Plate #197 it comes with three more very magical images. You will LOVE them!

The image is coloured with Distress Inks on heavy watercolour paper. The background papers I used is from DCWV 'the immortal love'. I added some stars stickers on it and scribbled some more with a white gel pen. Just a bit of lace and flowers as some additional embellishments.

Hi everyone, how are you doing? Fine I hope. Are you prepared for Christmas? Just one day to go... I was much in the mood to make Christmas cards lately. And I catched the bug to create Christmas cards with no typical Christmas images :o). It is soooo much fun. So this card I show you today is one of this kind as well.

I used beautiful Bess from our fabulous artist Elaine Cox. And hey, know what? She is on SALE right now! She is available as a single stamp. And on Plate # 85 together with three other gorgeous images. You will love them. They are some of my favourites.

The colouring is made with Distress Inks. And I tried something new here. I wanted to give it a crackle effect and covered the finished image with clear embossing powder three times. Put it in the fridge and when it was cold and strong I crackled it few times till I got this effect. Love its look. The lace I put around the image was original white. I sprayed some Antique Brass Glimmer Mist over it to give it a similar colour like the background paper from Basic Grey haves.

Crafts and Me Christmas Challenge # 66 - anything goes

Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine. We finally got some snow yesterday. The first one for this season which is really very late compaired with other years. But it seems as it will not last till Christmas which is really a pity... nothing with White Christmas this year.

Well, we have a new challenge for you at Crafts and Me Challenges. It is a special one with several prizes, and you have time until the 18th January to join us. And... we have a very easy peasy theme for you

ANYHTING GOES

Here you can see what I did... no Christmas card anymore for today. I used beautiful Clematis from the fabulous artist Janna Prosvirina. Just take a look at the other gorgeous DT creations to get some more inspirations. On the 4th January the Digi Team will show you some more inspiration. So don't miss them as well.

I am not so satisfied with the colours on my pic. In natural they are more bright and harmonic. I don't like to photograph without daylight like I had to do yesterday. But hey... we have the shortest day today, afterwards the days are getting longer again... yay!! :o))

Polar Bear

Hi everyone, when I saw this image for the first time I immediately fell in love with it. Aren't they too cute? This image from Wild Rose Studio is called Polar Bear. I coloured it with Distress Inks and paper pieced some parts of the image. Those sweet images from Wild Rose Studio is perfect for paper piecing. As a finishing special effect I added some glass splinters to the hats, ground and snowflakes.

The background papers I used are from Kaiserkraft 'Silly Season'. I distressed the edges and added some crackle paint on it. The sentiment I used is from Whimsy 'Winter Seals'. And the snowflake die 'Winter Jewel' I added under the beautiful Winter Rose Vanilla Ice from Prima and the cherry flowers are from Whimsy as well.

Lynettes Christmas Hop

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! Today we from the DT of Sweet Pea Stamps have a big surprise for our dear Lynette, owner of Sweet Pea Stamps. For the card I share with you today I used a gorgeous holiday collage stamp you can find on Plate # 56. The sentiment you can find on the same plate. Just take a look at the other Collage sheets as well. There are fabulous images to create wonderful projects. The papers I used are from Simple Stories '25 Days of Christmas'

Magnolia Christmas Ornament

Hi my dear friends and fellow crafters. Today I want to show you one of my newest creations. I made something different this time; a Christmas ornament. This is the challenge theme at TOMIC this week.

I wanted to go a bit more natural with my ornament and picked up some thin branches outside and bonded them together with some twine to build a wooden star. Then I hung a tag on it and decorated it with few ribbons and flowers. I didn't want to add too much of embellishements as I wanted to keep the nativeness of my ornament.

Here you can see a close up of my ornament. I coloured it with distress inks and add a bit of stickles to the image.

Shaker Card at Tomic Challenges

Hi everyone my dear friends and visitors. Today I have something special for you to take a look at. It was a challenge for me, but had so much fun to do. So this will definitely not be the last shaker card I made. As it was the theme at the actual Tomic challenge I gave it a try. And I really love how it turned out.

I surrounded the 'window' with some beautiful vintage lace by Marianne D which gives the frame a lovely effect.

First I wanted to use some gelatine sheets for the window, but weren't able to get some at the local store. They only had gelatine powder. Well, I could have used it for the filling... :o)

Sweet Pea Stamps Christmas Blog Hop

Hi everyone, are you doing fine? I hope so. Christmas is coming nearer and nearer. Are you prepared? All cards done? If not we have lots of inspirations for you today.

We have a Blog Hop for you today. And the theme of it is to make a Christmas card or a creation and not using a special christmassy image. How great is this? It is so much fun really. When you come from Holley's Blog you are on the right way.

For my card I used this gorgeous image by the fabulous artist ching-chou kuik, one of my favourite images. It is called 'One and Only Heart'. I coloured the image with Distress Inks. The papers I used are from the '25 days of Christmas' by Simple Stories. I haven't add that many embellies as I usually do as I thought it would be too much here. Just added two baubles stickers and some lace.

Autumn Happiness

Hi dear fellow crafters. While you can see everywhere around Christmas related cards I want to share with you an autumnal card. Yes, we still have autumn :o)

I used this sweet little dragon image called 'Autumn Happiness' from Whimsy Stamps. There is a wide range of cute image from them. I coloured him with Distress Inks. The beautiful paper in autumnal colours I used is from Kaiser Kraft called Up, up & away. I love those pads as they have also metallic effects on some papers, and four pages of die cuts as well. The sentiments you can see on my card are from this pad as well. The sweet little brown roses are from Marianne D Beautiful Brown. As a nice effect I added also few Flat Backed Pearls to my card.

This can be real and faux stitching, it is up to you. I used my newwwww sewing machine... yay! I love to be able to stitch real. It gives a card such a lovely effect. The sentiment I used is german and means 'take the time to enjoy the easy things of life'.

I have this card with me this weekend at a craft fair and a man said to me while he was looking at my card, I haven't chose a 'easy' thing on my card... well, playing guitar isn't really an easy thing I guess...oops... :o)))

I often create my cards in this style. It is so much fun to torn and scratch the edges, adding crackle paint and white acrylic paint here and there. I think those cards look so soft and elegant. For this card I made for the challenge I used another gorgeous image by the new artist at Crafts and Me Janna Prosvirina. I love her images so much. This one is 'Night Blossom'. Isn't she so beautiful?

Mia in the Snow

Hello my dear and fellow crafters. Hope you are doing fine and enjoy the days. I am so much into making Christmas and winterlike cards. Love those themes.

So today I want to show you a card I made with this sweet image by Wild Rose Studio 'Mia in the Snow'. She is currently out of stock, but am sure it will be available soon again. Wild Rose Studio have so many other very cute images to work with. They are a pleasure to colour as well. I made my colouring with Distress Inks.

The papers I used for this card are from Prima from the 6x6 Reflections pad. The border is Magnolias Tilda Lace Die. The round sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Whimsy Winter Seals. As a cute little addition I add two lovely snowflake charms to my card. A bigger and a smaller one.

Cherry Blossom

Hi everyone and fellow Sweet Pea Stamps lovers. Today I want to share with you a card I made with one of the gorgeous images of Conie Fong, our featured artist this week. I chose this beautiful image 'Cherry Blossoms' of hers. I love its exotic touch. It is available as a single image, and on Plate # 185 together with three more amazing images as well.

I coloured her with Copics. The background papers are from Basic Grey. As I want to add more of blossoms around the image I made them with the Magnolia Doily Flowers Die.

Here you can see a close up of the image. I added some dots to the blossom centers which gives them a more lively accent.

Adding a little butterfly is a perfect additional accent.

TOMIC Challenge # 24 - Use a paperbag and get inspired by the picture

Hi everyone, also this week I want to join the TOMIC The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge. This week they ask to use a paperbag and as an addition to get inspired by a picture. Quite challenging for me this time as well, as I never used a paperbag before. But that's what the challenges are for, right :o)

Well, here we go with my paperbag. I used one with a little window on the front, which I decorated with some lace to look like curtains. The image is from the new Sweet Christmas Collection called 'a little gift Tilda' I used several different dies on my project: Magnolia: Paris Night Dies and Tim Holtz: Snow Flurries. The background paper is Magnolia as well. I coloured the image with Distress Inks.

The photo inspiration shows a red horse as a symbol of Sweden. I used a cute cat instead of a horse :o). But I kept the colour red from the picture for my inspiration.

I wanted to look her like a forrest elve, sitting on some bushes and leafs. So I also kept her and her surrounding in brown and green tones. I stamped her with brown ink and coloured the image with Copics. The background paper is from Basic Grey's Scarlett Letter.

Look what I made... aren't those Toy Soldiers by High Hope Stamps too cute? I really fell in love with them. I thought two would fit the card better than just one. After colouring and cutting them out I covered them with thick embossing powder three times to give them a shining look which you cannot see on the pic unfortunately.

TOMIC Challenge # 23 - Sketch and Edwin

Hi my dear friends and fellow crafters. How are you doing? Well, to be honest there were days I felt better. As today it was the funeral of my partners das who dies a week ago. Really sad... But that's life.

For myself being creative and making cards is the best way to come on other thoughts. So this following card became. I made it for the new challenge over at TOMIC The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challengewhere the ask for Edwin with a Sketch.

To be honest, I don't have many Edwins as I love the sweet Tildas much more. But this one is one of the very few I have in my collection and I like him. He is really cute and each year I take him out to create something.

Motherhood

Hello fellow Sweet Pea Stamp lovers. Today I want to show you a card I made with one of my actual favourite images. When I saw this one the first time, I LOVED it immediately. No other image can reflect motherlove and motherhood any better as this one. For me it is the perfect image for a 'welcome baby' card.

This image is called 'Shhh Mummies Here' and is from the amazing artist Joanne Schempp. It is available on plate # 178 together with three more fabulous images, but also as a single stamp.

And this sweet image is so great to colour. I had lots of fun playing with it. I coloured it with Distress Inks on 300 gram watercolour papers. The designer papers are by Authentique. Also the postal stamps are a part of this paper pad. The die is from Spellbinders and the flowers from Wild Orchid. The other items are from my stash. To give the image some more effect I added some glitter to some parts.

Magnolia Candles

Hello and good morning everyone. I was busy making candles and so I want to share some more with you. They are really easy to make. For those who didn't read my previous entry... I made a tutorial for you how to make them which you can find HERE. Aren't they just so lovely?

Hi everyone, Halloween is past now, and everyone is already thinking on Christmas, to get everything done in time... just less than two months to go. Something which cannot be missed in this time, not only Christmas itself, the time before.. the Advent season as well, are candles.

So today I will not show you a card, but a beautiful candle I made with one of the gorgeous Sweet Pea Stamps images. This collection from the fabulous artist ching-chou kuik you can find on plate # 60 is perfect for. I used for my candle 'Holly Fairy'.

I uploaded a tutorial on my blog how to make a candle step by step. You can find it HERE if you want to give it a try. It is so fun to make them.

Hi fellow crafters out there. Where have the time gone... I almost cannot believe we already have November. I still need some time to get used to the shorter days, to the early darkness again.

As you already know, we have a fabulous new artist at Crafts and Me; Janna Prosvirina. And to be honest, when I saw her images first it was love for the first sight. She haves such beautiful images, four of them available as rubber now.

The card I want to show you today is made with another one of the new images. I used beautiful 'Belladonna'. Isn't she such a beauty? I had so much fun playing with her. I coloured her with Distress Inks. And I love that the images are in bigger size as usual. The papers I used are from Kaiserkraft.

Music Saves my Soul

Hi everyone, for once I want to join Marceas 'Music Saves my Soul' today. I love it to hear what others fave music is.

I want to share with you one of my all time favourite; Scorpions feat. Tarja Turunen. I love Tarja's Music, now and even more when she was the lead singer of Nightwish. Tarja haves the most beautiful voice in my opinion. Such a pity that it is so quiet around her lately. Just listen to this wonderful song... A perfect combination of two great artists... close your eyes and listen...

Yeah, and then we are asked to share the song we bought as the very first... Listen what was mine... A great singer to that time as well... and still a lovely song. I even was able to sing along without reading the lyrics... :o). Listen to Precious Wilson from the band Eruption... not to compare with Boney M.... as many think this song is from them, but isn't. I was a huge fan of Boney M. as well... :o)

TOMIC Challenge # 21 - Bingo

Hi my dear crafty friends and visitors. Great to see you here, as always! Today I want to show you a card I made yesterday for the new challenge over at TOMIC. The theme is Bingo. So you have to chose for one row of items who have to be on your card. I took the row with 'use a metal embellishment', 'pearls' and 'a butterfly'.

And here is what I made with it...

I used one of the newest Maggies from the 'Sweet Christmas Collection'. I looooooove them so much, in my opinion one of the most sweet collection. I used 'Tilda with Snow Heart'... my favourite one from this new collection. The papers and the lantern die and tag die are Magnolia Doohickeys. The frame die is Spellbinders.

Hi dear Sweet Pea Stamps lovers. Do you love Halloween as much as I do? So I want to show you another Halloween card I made recently. And Sweet Pea Stamps haves the most amazing images to create a Halloween project. Just see this gorgeous image by the fabulous artist Elaine Cox. It is called 'Twilight Halloween'. Isn't this little witch just the beautiest? I fell in love with her from the first sight. The paper I used for the background is by Crafty Individuals. The other embellies are from my stash.

Whiff of Joy Challenge # 116 - my Sketch :o)

Hi everyone! Great to see you here! Today we have a new challenge over at the Whiff of Joy Challenges. As the theme we have a sketch. And guess what? It is my sketch...woohoo... my first created sketch ever, and first published one on a challenge as well... can you imagine I feel a bit proud? Here we go...

And here is the card I made with my Sketch. The stamp is from Whiff of Joy, from the new Christmas Collection. This cute image is called 'Thinking of you on Christmas'. The image is coloured with Distress Inks on heavy 300 gram watercolour paper. The beautiful papers with Christmas patterns are from Kaiserkraft. It is the Silly Season collection pad. I love those pads as they have sheets with special effects on it, and also have some sheets of die cuts inside who fits your creations perfectly. The Holiday ticket sentiments are from Whimsy Stamps, and the ticket die to cut it out as well. As little accents I added a little cute snowflake charm and few green half pearls. Those beautiful pearls come in mixed bags with different colours and sizes.

My card I show you today is made with one of my absolutely fave images by Crafts and Me. It is by the amazing artist Hannah Lynn and is called 'Genevieve'. Isn't she just a true beauty?

I made this card for one of the last challenges at Crafts and Me Challenges where the theme were Flowers. I wanted to make her in autumn colours. She is coloured with Copics and she is so fun to colour. You simply have to try her out. I am sure you will love her.

TOMIC Challenge # 20 - Get Sporty with a Sketch

Over at The Official Magnolia Inspirations Challenge is a new challenge this week. The theme is Get Sporty with a Sketch. For this theme I used the diving Tilda and combined it with the papers of Bo-Bunny which I think fits perfect.

I am not so well at the moment, fighting with a cold which I hope I can get rid of soon. Hope you're doing better and will enjoy weekend.

Sharing a Bisquit

Hi everyone! Nellie Snellen haves so cute images. One of her new winter collection is 'Sharing a Bisquit'. It is one of my favourite image at the moment. The image is coloured with Copic Ciao Markers. The frame of the image isNestabillities Fleurs de Lis Squares. For my card I used the wonderful wintery paper from Prima North Country. I put some vellum paper with silver printed snowflakes over the designer paper, which gives my card an even more special winter touch. And a snowflake charm cannot be missed.

Here from this sight you can see the effect of the vellum paper with silver snowflake is much better;

I added some glass splinters to the hat and the snow to give this sweet image some more accents;

Now the time begins when the days got shorter and shorter, and so does the daylight, which makes it more difficult to make good pictures. I prefer to take my pictures while daylight as the colours are more identical with the original. So I have to become more organised to have the chance to make all my cardphotos while the weekend or my days off... will see if I can manage :o)

Hi everyone and dear Sweet Pea Stamps lovers! I am so glad to have Elisabeth Bell as our new artist over at Sweet Pea Stamps, she is our featured artist this week. One of my favourite image of her is 'Little Curls'. Isn't she soooo sweet. I love her and she is so wonderful to work with.

I coloured her with Distress Inks on heavy 300 gram watercolour paper, stamped little flowers around the image. For the background I used papers by Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle'. The dies are Spellbinders and the flowers Wild Orchid.

I created a card in the shape of a cloud which I think is perfect for cutie Henry riding an aerplane :o). I hadn't a template for it, just made it by myself. I covered the inside of the card with a tiny bit smaller white cloud. It got more a clean and simple card. But I thought adding something else would be too much here. A bit unusual for me :o)

Tomic Challenge # 18 - Halloween but no card

Hi everyone! Also this week I don't want to miss the Tomic Challenge. There is a special challenge as they want to see Halloween, but no card. Something I wanted to try to make is a Bookelet, where you can put something small inside. A gift like some chocolat, sweets, or even a stamp or embellies. This is a wonderful kind to give a present. I love to make those books. They are so fun to do. Another one is already in progress :o)
