Hi everyone, hope you all are doing fine. I almost am melting away here as we have so hot weather; today up to 34 degrees... sigh! What is better with so hot weather than to sit at the cool craft room and crafting... :o)).

Gift of Winter

Hi everyone, today it is my turn to show some inspiration over at Crafts and Me Stamps. So I want to show you the card I created here as well. 

It is made with the beautiful image 'Gift of Winter' by the great artist 'Sara Burrier'. You can find this image HERE.  I love her images so much. They are great to work with. I wanted to make her in green and brown tones, so not that winterlike. She is more a gift of spring today. You know, I always chose the papers first before I start to make a card. And I thought she would fit perfect to this paper from K&C Company. It is an elder one I have in my stash for quite some time. The striped one is from Kaisercraft.

Music saves my soul

I already saw this graphic several times and always thought to join in as well. As I find it a great idea to share the favourite music with other peoples. Me at least am curious to see and hear what music peoples listen their blogs I visit regularly. I want to share one of my fave song I like quite much since weeks. I definitely cannot stand still when I hear this song.

Guest Designer at Bunny Zoe's Craft

Hello and welcome everybody, I'm so proud that I got the opportunity to create a card as a guest designer for the Bunny Zoe's Craft challenge. The theme is

I had so much fun to make this card. I got this sweet stamp from Bunny Zoe to work with which is so generous. Thank you so much again, Nikki! I tried out to add some white acrylic paint to my card for the first time. And I must say that i quite like the result.

Mirror, Mirror

Hi Sweet Pea friends out there, and everyone else who is visiting my blog today. I was working on something special the last few weeks. And finally today I can show you. I wanted for once making a bigger project than a card had the idea to decorate one of those simple mirrors available at the big Swedish furniture mart. I saw this a while ago when I visited friends. They have such a mirror in their apartment, with a painting on it. I loved it and knew I have to create something like this as well. So here it is:

I painted the wide wooden frame with acrylic pain, a mix of purple, blue and green.

To decorate the mirror I chose two of the amazing Sweet Pea Stamps  images from the ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection. The first one is Nocturnal Spirit.

And Dryad Bride

Both are on the same plate # 124, but are available as single stamps as well. I coloured them with Distress Inks on heavy watercolour paper and glued them to the frame.

Then I added some more effects to the frame; I punched some stars out and layed them to the frame. I painted some white fabric paint over them, let it dry and surrounded them with stickles for a lovely shine. I added more fabric paint to the images and added some flowers and beads as well. To finish off I glued some cord around the inside of the mirror and as a hanger.

The saying with the lovely celtic border is a cut out from a sheet of paper from the 'once upon a time' stack by DCWV... love it!
