TOMIC Challenge # 43 - Easter & Photo Inspiration

Hi everyone my dear friends and visitors. This time I want to take part at the TOMIC challenge again. Well, I already wanted last week, already made my card for it, but then I missed the deadline to upload it... sigh... So you will see it to a later time. This week I made this card below. The theme is Easter in combination with a Photo Inspiration, and it have to have at least one egg on it. On mine are two :o). Hope you like it...

I coloured the image with Copics. The papers are Pion Design. And I added some clear crackle paint to the eggs, which you can see a bit better on the close up below...

Guest Designer at Copic Marker Europe

Hi everyone, I am so proud I got asked to be a guest over at the Copic Marker Europe Blog. This really makes me feel so honoured. 

I decided to play with one of the newest images of Whiff of Joy from the We're family collection. I used the image 'We are Family'. I really love so much to colour in grey tones. So those cute little mouses are perfect for me. I love Henry and his family. 

To be honest I am very happy how this image turned out. I never had the chance to visit a Copic class so far, but exercised a lot by myself and watched quite some video tutorials at YouTube, and followed blogs. And I must say that I am more and more pleased with my colouring.

I used following colours for this image;

Grey Mouses: W7, W5, W3, W2, W1 and W0

Brown Mouses: E57, E53, E33, E11 and YR20

For the ears, tummy and tail I added: R20, YR00 and R00

Ceeks and Bows: R20

Cap: B93, B12 and B00

Background: BG10 and G000

Ground: E33, E11 and E50

On my card I wanted to keep the focus on this sweet image and only used few embellishment. The papers from Simple Stories 'Generations' is perfect for the theme of the stamp. The two corner dies are Sizzix and the lace is from my stash.

Pale Moon

Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine and enjoy spring as much as we do here in Switzerland. Today I want to show you a card I made with one of the newest images from ching-chou kuik's. It is 'Pale Moon' and I love it, as the most images of ching-chou. It is available on plate # 199 together with three other gorgeous images, and as a single stamp as well. 

I coloured her with Distress Inks and added some accents with white acrylic paint. The papers I used is from Glitz Design. Here's a close up of the image.

Crafts and Me Challenge # 77 - Elegant Fairies

Hi and good morning my dear friends and fellow crafters. How are you doing? Fine I hope, while we have that wonderful spring weather. I love it like it is right now, the perfect temperatures for me around 20 degrees. 

Today we have a new challenge for you at Crafts and Me Challenges. It is my turn to host this challenge and to chose the theme. As I am a big fairy lovers I want to see

ELEGANT FAIRIES

And here's what I created... I used one of my fave stamps from Crafts and Me, by the fabulous artist Janna Prosvirina called 'Night Blossom'. I wanted to give it a Shabby Chic touch.

I stamped this image with grey ink and coloured it with Distress Inks. Here's a close up of the image. I wanted to add some glitter to her wings but forgot it then... But it looks nice without as well I think. The papers are from the new Prima Natural Garden.

I HEART you

Hi my dear friends and fellow crafters. Hope you had a wonderful weekend so far. Today I want to show you a card I made with a no name stamp I already had for quite some time and never made anything out of it. Well, you know, we are four ladies, currently spending a craft weekend... woohoo... challenge ourselves from time to time. And the challenge was to create a card with this stamp. And here you can see what I made. To be honest I quite love my card. Not only that I love this shape of card... I made a gate fold card. This stamp is almost perfect for it I think... 

While opening the card you can see this cute teddy holding a big heart.

Let me slurp your bath water

Hi everyone, Karina here to show you the second creation I made with the super cute stamp set Lovely Lulu by Kraftin Kimmie. This time she is sitting in her bath tub with her teddy. Isn't she so adorable? I had so much fun with this image as well. I coloured it with Distress Inks. And I couldn't resist to add my own sentiment with means 'let me slurp your bath water' which is from a very old song by the Comedian Harmonists. I thought it is perfect for this card.

The papers I used for this card is one of my favourite, from My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody. The big flower is Prima Winter Rose Marbel Ice and I addes some little white roses. The lace I made the bow with is Marianne D Vintage Lace. As an addition I addes some cute buttons and a Kaisercraft pearls flourish.

The Scarlet Sofa

Hi dear friends and visitors, today is my day over at Crafts and Me to show you some more inspiration with their gorgeous images. This time I created a card with one of the newest images by the fabulous artist Jasmine Becket-Griffith called 'The Scarlet Sofa'. 

I coloured her with Copics, the papers I used are from Prima 'Moulin Rouge'. And I thought this sentiment from Whimsy Stamps is perfect to this images. Don't you think so?

Some Birdie Loves You

Hi everyone and happy day! Today I show you the first part of a little serie I made with the gorgeous Kraftin Kimmie stamps set 'Lovely Lulu'. Here is my first creation. Isn't she so cute? And this papers by Basic Grey 'Kissing Booth' with the birdies on it is just perfect to this image. I distressed the edges and addes some white crackle paint.

I coloured her with Distress Inks. The Sentiment I used on my card is from the same Kraftin Kimmie stamps set. There are five sentiments on it and fit the images perfectly. The die I used for the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. 

I used some lovely crocheted creme flowers as embellishments. I love them. They are so nice and gives the project a special touch I think. As a further addition I addes two red heart pins.

Whiff of Joy Preview 'Precious'

Hi my dear friends and visitors. Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and wishes which I always apprechiate so very much. As promised I am showing you today a card I made with one of the new Whiff of Joy images 'We are family' which are available from the 22nd March... they are soooooo cute. From all those sweet images it was hard to decide which one to colour in first. I have chosen 'Precious'... look at this sweet little baby laying in the arms of his dad. 

I coloured the image with Copics. And I wanted to make the shape of the background looking like a bib, and I guess I succeed :o) The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy as well, available HERE.

Great News and New Release at WoJ

Hi everyone, after a very busy week with getting up in the early morning at 5 am and not coming home in the evening before 7 pm I haven't a card to share with you today. 

BUT....

.... I have great news for you!!!

About three weeks ago, Katharina, owner of Whiff of Joy Stamps made a call for new members of her great design team. And as I love her products so much I made an application. And guess what??? Few days ago Katharina mailed me and asked me to join her team... yippieh!!! Of course I had to think about it no second, as you can guess :o) 

And I also want to tell you some more great news.... as Whiff of Joy is celebrating an upcoming release (22nd March), and from today the team is showing you previews of the new wonderful images, dies and sentiment collections to the theme 'We are family'! Sweet Henry brought his family this time. The new images are perfect for this season; family, babies, fathers- and mothersday. Katharina and we all from the team are excited to present you those new products. 

Just check back tomorrow when I will show you my first project I made with one of the new sweet images. Don't miss it!!

Colouring on Acetate

Hi dear Sweet Pea Stamps friends, today I want to show you something totally different as I usual do. I tried out a new technique. I stamped and coloured on acetate. Those beautiful images from ching-chou kuik's are perfect for this. I used 'Ladybug' here, which is available on Plate # 79 together with three other fabulous images. Ladybug is available as a single stamp as well. 

I stamped the image with a black Staz'On ink pad on a sheet of acetate. Then I coloured the image on the backside with Copics! On the frontside I added some little accents with a white gel pen. The background I used here is the card which was in a package of Prima flowers. I thought it would fit perfect as the background for my image, which is shining through the acetate. I abstained adding embellishments as they would take off the focus from this gorgeous image which I didn't want.

Crafts and Me Challenge # 75 - Let's see circles

Hi my dear friends and very apprechiated visitors. Today I have a new card to show you. We started a new challenge over at Crafts and Me Challenges and we want to see

For my card I used two of them, as frame for this gorgeous image I used. It is called Angel with Emeralds by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. I love it. Those big wings are just fabulous. I decided to make a colour combo of yellow and blue, as I wanted to use my new Glitz paper pad, although emeralds are green... but who knows this... ;o). At least I haven't known before...

Here's a close up of the image. I added some yellow stickles to the hair wisps and as eyeshadow.
