Irish Christmas Fae

Hello dear creative peeps out there. After a long time of hot and sunny weather we have a rainy day today. So what can you do better than be creative...

I want to show you a card I just made today. Somehow I am in the mood for making Christmas cards this week... So I used the beautiful image by Hannah Lynn called Irish Christmas Fae. You can get this lovely image as a digi stamps over at Crafts and Me. I love Hannah's images so much as I have so much fun colouring them. I coloured her with Copics. I think it's not recognizable for the first view that it is a Christmas image.

Paper Sundaes Challenge # 70 - Pop it up

Hello dear friends and visitors out there. We come with a new challenge over at Paper Sundaes. We have a special theme for you today, which is

POP IT UP

As you may already know I am really got hooked on fancy fold cards. So I made for this theme a side step card with some limbs of trees popping up. I challenged myself as well in trying out the crackled glass technique. And I am quite happy with the result. I know for sure this was not the last time I make it as I like the effect it gives the image.

The sentiment on my card means 'Live is like a mirror. When you smile into it you will get a smile back.' Love this.

Today I want to show you another beautiful image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This lovely mermaid is called Melana. She is from the fabulous artist Nikki Burnette and she comes as a single stamp or is available on  plate 120 with three more gorgeous images. 

I had such a pleasure to colour her with my Distress Inks. First I had the middle paper piece in my hands. And immediately I knew I have to take this stamps and have to colour her in those colours which are on the paper as well, pink and blue. The background paper I chose afterward. I like how she turned out.

Hi fellow Sweet Pea Stamps lovers out there. Hope you are doing fine. Glad to see you here.

My card I show you today will definitely NOT be the last unicorn :o). As this gorgeous image from Sweet Pea Stamps from Karen Middletons Rag Doll Designs comes on plate # 121 together with a second super cute image of a unicorn and two sentiments. They are so fun to colour. I really love those sweet images.

For once I didn't wanted to add too much bling and stuff. As I wanted to keep the image as the highlight. So I just added a bow and few flowers. The paper I used for the background is from Basic Grey.

At Sweet Pea Stamps we have many gorgeous stamps of different artists on sale. And there are quite some new stamps, some of them on SALE as well. So the best possibility for you to raise your collection. You won't miss it.

I'm away for vacation

Hello dear friends, just wanted to let you know that I will be away for vacation the next week. 

Just take a look at my pictures and you can perhaps recognize where I am going... right, to the Northern Sea in Germany. I love this place so very much, whith its rough climate, the see, the wind, the windmills, the flat landscape, and as you can see on my pics... I love sheeps :o)

Those pics I made in April last year when we already travelled there. We wanted to go again in August, but because of health issues we had to cancel that jouney. But now we can catch up with it. 

I will be back on 22nd May. Don't worry, I have sheduled several entries so you will get something to see here nevertheless. Have a wonderful week and see you soon.

Stamp Fair in Stuttgart Germany

Hello dear friends and visitors. Before I show you what I brought home from the Stamp Fair I was over the weekend I have some great news to share:

I was chosen for the next months guest designer for Bunny Zoe's craft challenges. YAY!! I can chose a stamp from their shop to work with. I feel so much honoured and am making the happy dance here.

Well, now here we go, we had a wonderful weekend in Korntal-Münchingen near Stuttgart at the annual Stempelmesse Süd. Here you can see my new goodies... and know what... I didn't want to buy any new papers and stamps... but when I saw this beautiful stuff everywhere some kind of autmatical function takes over me... :o))

I also had the pleasure to meet two Swiss blog friends there which really was great.

I am looking forward playing with all those babies. Tomorrow we (my sister and my neighbour and friend who accompanied me to Stuttgart) have a craft afternoon together. We will use our new goodies. So take a look the next days and you will recognize the one and other goodies on my cards.
