Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - May

 

Hello everyone, I also managed to create the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 May Tag. And I had so fun to do so. It's always great to try out new techniques. This time I didn't only made one, but two tags. I weren't able to decide which stamp I should use for the tissue resist technique. So I made both. I really like both and cannot say which one I like more.

Below you can see close ups of my tags... I was able to use some stash as I stil had those selfmade paper flowers made with different papers. I just sprayed them with the same colors I used for my tags to make them matching. Also the two butterflies were lying around a while. The look great on those tags I think.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - April

After I missed the March tag I am here again with Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 challenge for April. I love this new technique combo and had so much fun to create this tag. Although the background didn't turn out as I wanted it to. But all in all I like the result. I am especially happy with the shopping angel doll. And I really love the mosaic effect.

Although I missed March I am planning to still create the March technique mix as I want to make all 12 tags this year. It's so challenging and so great to learn (for me) new techniques. I have to think more out of the box and not just copy what Tim Holtz shows us. It's not that easy when you're new to Mixed Media. But with each try it works better. I already look forward what he will bring for May.

Pretty Woman for Cards und More

Hello everyone,

I hope you survived the big heat we had the last two weeks. I am really happy it cooled down again. With 37 degrees it was even too hot for me to craft. And this means something... 

I created this card before the big heat. I tried to make another Mixed Media Project. I wanted to make some own postcards for a project. And below you can see how it turned out... it's one kind of the cards I made...

The background is created with different colors and mediums. I sprayed them onto a plastic bag and then pressed a sheet of aquarellic paper onto it. It was great how each sheet looked so different and how they turned out.

On the photo below you can see the pearescent color shimmering. It's better to see on the original. After making the background I stamped the image onto it, cut it in the size I wanted it, doodled around the edges and that is...

First Mixed Media project for Noor! Design and Deep Ocean Challenges

Good morning everyone. I always am fascinated when I see some mixed media projects and wanted to give it a try too. When I saw those MDF Art Cheeseboards from Dutch Doobadoo I immediately knew, with that I will create my first mixed media project. And I must confess that I am really happy with how it turned out. And it matches our new theme at Deep Ocean challenges where we want to see something 'Vintage'. At the Noor! Design Deutschland webshop you can find lots of products for your Mixed Media projects.
