Another Christmas Card

Hello everyone, Christmas is past, but I still have the one and other Christmas card I want to share with you. The one I show you today is made with 'Grieving Cherub' from Whiff of Joy. I think this sweet angel is a great use for other occasions as for Christmas. I made this card as an order for a working colleague. I stamped it with brown Ink and coloured the image with Copics. The sentiment and the Post Card stamp are from Whiff of Joy as well.

On this image I played a bit with my photo program and gave it a more vintage touch.

Simply Magnolia - Party with Balloons

Hello my dear friends and visitors. Hope you spent a wonderful time over Christmas and the days after. Perhaps you were so happy as I were to have some days off. I really enjoyed it and still do. Plenty of time for crafting and just relaxing. How did I miss this the weeks and months before. So it really feels great. Still one day to go and we can welcome the new year. This occasion occurring we have following theme for you for our new challenge at Simply Magnolia;

PARTY AND USING BALLOONS

Isn't this a fun theme? Magnolia haves so sweet images with Balloons, so I am sure you will love this challenge. For my card I used a very old image, one of the first and I enjoyed to take this little treasure out again for once. I coloured her with Distress Inks and made some paper piecing on her shirt and balloon.

Here you can see a close up of the image. The papers I used is from My Mind's Eye 'Ruby'. The watch die is Tim Holtz and the heart tag die is from Magnolia. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and is available in English as well.

Silent Woods by Sweet Pea Stamps

Hello everyone, hope you were able to spend some relaxing days over the Christmas Days. The project I recently made is with another new image by the fabulous ching-chou kuik's available at Sweet Pea Stamps. It is called 'Silent Woods' and is available on Plate # 232. She is available as a single stamp and Digi as well.

The image is coloured with Copics, and the background papers are from Maja Design 'Vintage Summer'.

My Favourite Christmas Cards 2012

Hi everyone! Hope you spent a wonderful Christmas Eve. Mine was lovley, we were out for dinner to a nice restaurant for a Fondue Chinoise à discretion... yummy!! I spent some comfortable hours with my family. Debby is asking for our favourite Christmas cards for 2012, and I want to join as well...

I have several cards I quite like, but I think those following are my absolute favourites...

The first one is made with a Digi Stamp from Whiff of Joy.

Then one of my favourite Whimsy images is Let it Snow, available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

One of my fave winter Magnolia image is Edwin with Sack available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

 This one is Sally with Snowball from Sweet Pea Stamps.

The one below is made with another Whiff of Joy cutie.

DT Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Leapin' Lewis

Hello everyone, today I want to show you a winter-like card I made with this sweet penguin from High Hopes called 'Leapin' Lewis'. Isn't he so sweet? I coloured him with Copics. I wanted to create my card in a mix of winter and Christmas colours; white, blue, red and green. The papers from Carta Bella 'Merry & Bright' have this combination. I just love those sheets with numbers on it. And dots and stripes are always perfect. Under the lace I added some dark pink raffia lace. The flowers I added are from Marianne D Mixed Paper Flowers Christmas. I added a tiny brad and a spacer in the middle of each flower. The tree is from Marianne D Creatables. And the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, and so is the matching die. As an accent I added some Pistachio Green Flat Backed Pearls near the image.

Holiday Collage from Sweet Pea Stamps

Hi everyone, we're into the countdown until Christmas, only one day to go. Are you prepared, yet? I am still in a hurry. I thought I would be good in time, but at least there are still this and that to do. So I am looking very much forward to few days off I will have soon.

One of my all time favourite image from Sweet Pea Stamps is this one from the 'Holiday Collage Sheet'. I love deers and so this one is perfect for making some nice cards when you don't have too much time to make them. And the effect is great I think. I love it. The papers I used is from Simple Story '25 Days of Christmas', one of my favourite as well.

DT Whiff of Joy - Cookies for Santa

Hello my dear friends and visitors. Today it is my turn to show a project on the Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog. I don't have a new tutorial for you today. But want to lead you to a wonderful video tutorial our dear Jeanette made a while ago, showing how to make a Criss Cross Pocket Card. I loved to look at it and to see how she makes it and felt very inspired to create a Criss Cross Card as well. I love this kind of cards.

For my card I used this sweet image 'Cookies for Santa' available as a Digi Stamp. The German sentiment is from Whiff of Joy as well, and so is the star festoon die. More pictures of my Criss Cross card and how the part inside looks like you can find on the World of Ideas Blog.

DT Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Christmas Pony

Hello everyone, still few days to go until Christmas, so I want to show you another Christmas card I recently made. I used the beautiful image from Whimsy Stamps 'Christmas Pony'. Isn't it just so sweet? I love this girl offering apples to her pony. I used my Copics to colour this image.

The background papers I used is from Carta Bella 'Merry & Bright'. This paper is 25 % off now! The sentiment 'Winter Seals' I used are from Whimsy Stamps as well.I wanted to keep the card quite plain to have the main focus on this lovely image. So I only used few embellishemts. They are a snowflake charm, some Marianne D Vintage Lace, and few Flat Backed Pearls Kiwi.

Crafts & Me Bumper Christmas Challenge

I used one of the sketches from Christmas Challenges and want to join their challenge. They asked to chose a favourite Sketch from their challenges. I picked no. 17 for my card.

Blog Hop for Lynette from Sweet Pea Stamps

Each year the Sweet Pea Stamps design team loves to create a hop for Lynette, owner of Sweet Pea Stamps as our gift to her for Christmas. We are all in awe of the lovely stamps she offers and want to show our appreciation for her kindness and generosity.

 

For the card I made for this hop I used the super sweet image from Conie Fong called 'Sally and Snowball'. I am a big cats lover and so I absolutely love this image.

I made the colouring with Copics and the background paper is from BoBunny.

Simply Magnolia - Gift Box

Hello and good morning everyone, only few days to go and we have the day we're awaiting for quite some time. At least it went so fast when I look back. Are you ready with all your preparations? I still have some things to do, but without any hurry.

Also so near to Christmas we want to challenging you over at Simply Magnolia. And we have a special theme for you, as we want to see a

GIFT BOX

The one I made is a box as a gift itself as it is an exploding box. There are three boxes in different sizes, one inside the other one. But look by yourself the photos below... picture heavy!

Easy peasy, don't? For the card I made I used the sweet image 'Penguin Brothers Building a Snow Man'. It is one of my fave images. I just love this one. The ticket sentiments and matching dies are from Whiff of Joy as well. And so is the tag die.
